Security Council: Algeria calls for creation of nuclear-weapon-free zone

NEW YORK (United Nations)- Algeria called Tuesday, in New York, through its Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amar Bendjama, for the creation of a zone free of nuclear weapons and all forms of weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East, emphasizing its readiness to work with all partners to apply international law and strengthen the global nuclear non-proliferation framework.
