ALGIERS- On instructions from President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the operation to send the first humanitarian aid supplies to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah terminal, using an air bridge made up of several aircraft belonging to the air force of the People's National Army (ANP), kicked off at dawn on Sunday from the Boufarik air base (Blida).
On the instructions of the President of the Republic, Algeria decided to urgently send large quantities of humanitarian aid to El-Arich airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt, a sister country, to be delivered to the Gaza Strip via the Rafah terminal.
The aid consists of food and medical supplies, clothes and tents, which will be transported via an air bridge made up of several aircraft belonging to the ANP air force.
This action "expresses the commitment of unconditional and unlimited solidarity of Algeria, its leaders and people, with the brotherly Palestinian people, victims of the ongoing attacks, particularly in the Gaza Strip, perpetrated by the occupying forces against the backdrop of a total and iniquitous blockade," as stated in a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic on Saturday.
